# Payment options by country - NexPay

## At a glance

- **Intended for:** Payers & agents
- **Reading time:** 5 minutes
- **Last updated:** 1st June 2026

**TL;DR:** You can pay NexPay from sixteen countries today — the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, the UK, Germany, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. More are coming. Each country has its own local methods (PIX in Brazil, SPEI in Mexico, and so on). The surest way to see a payer's exact options is the currency calculator or starting a payment from their country.

## Can I pay from my country?

It's the first question a payer asks, and it deserves a clear answer. NexPay supports a defined set of countries to pay *from*, each with the local methods people there actually use. This article lists where you can pay from today and the kinds of options you'll find — so you can set a payer's expectations before they even open the wizard.

> **For agents and schools:** Keep this list handy. When a family asks "can I pay from home?", you can answer immediately for the common cases — and know when to check the calculator or loop in support for the rest.

## Where you can pay from today

You can currently pay NexPay from these sixteen countries:

- **North America:** United States, Canada, Mexico
- **Latin America:** Brazil, Colombia, Chile
- **Europe:** United Kingdom, Germany
- **Asia–Pacific:** China, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia
- **Middle East:** Saudi Arabia

This list grows as NexPay adds more routes, so a country that isn't here today may well be available later.

> **Worth knowing:** NexPay's strength is concentrated where its team has the deepest local knowledge — with a particular focus on Latin America, where the team works with methods like PIX, SPEI, and Webpay daily. That local expertise is why payments from these countries feel native rather than bolted on.

## The kinds of options you'll find

Each country brings its own local methods, reflecting how people genuinely pay there. A flavour of what that looks like:

- **Brazil** — PIX (instant) and Boleto, alongside cards
- **Mexico** — SPEI and cash networks like OXXO, alongside cards
- **Colombia** — PSE online banking, alongside cards
- **Chile** — Webpay and local options, alongside cards
- **Australia** — Open Banking transfers, alongside cards
- **United Kingdom** — Faster Payments and local options
- **Canada** — Interac, alongside cards
- **Eurozone (e.g. Germany)** — SEPA transfers

Across most countries you'll also find **card** options, and in many, **digital wallets**. The families behind all of this are covered in [payment methods](/training/quotes-and-methods/payment-methods.md).

## The reliable way to check

A printed list is a useful guide, but options can change as NexPay adds capabilities. So the surest way to know a payer's exact options is to ask the platform directly:

1. Open the **currency calculator** on your home screen and choose the country, **or**
2. Start creating a payment and select the **payer's country**.

Either way, NexPay shows only the methods and currencies that actually work for that country, at that moment. It's always more accurate than memory or a general list.

> **Quick tip:** Before telling a payer exactly how they'll pay, take ten seconds in the currency calculator with their country selected. You'll see the real options and an indicative cost — and you can pass both along with confidence.

## If your country isn't supported

If a payer's country isn't on the list yet, they can't pay from it directly for now. There may still be a route — paying in another accepted currency, or having someone in a supported country pay on their behalf. This is a good moment to reach the support team, who can advise on the best path for the specific situation rather than leaving you to guess.

## Your next step

- **Want the detail on each method?** See [payment methods](/training/quotes-and-methods/payment-methods.md).
- **Comparing what a payment will cost?** Read [exchange rates and quotes](/training/quotes-and-methods/exchange-rates-and-quotes.md).
- **Payer wants to spread the cost?** See [paying in installments](/training/quotes-and-methods/paying-in-installments.md).
- **Country not supported?** Reach the support team via the home-screen support card.

## Checkpoint

After reading this, you should be able to:

- Name the sixteen countries you can currently pay NexPay from
- Recognise that each country has its own local methods, with cards widely available
- Use the currency calculator or the wizard to confirm a country's exact options
- Advise a payer whose country isn't yet supported on sensible next steps
- Explain that the supported list grows over time

## Frequently asked questions

### Which countries can pay NexPay right now?

Sixteen — the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, the UK, Germany, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. We're actively expanding, so a country not on the list today may be available later. The currency calculator and the payment wizard always show the current options for a given country.

### My country isn't listed. Can I still pay?

If your country isn't among the supported ones, you can't pay from it directly yet. In some cases you may be able to pay in another accepted currency, or a payer in a supported country can pay on your behalf. Reach the support team and they'll advise on the best route for your situation.

### How do I see the exact methods for a specific country?

Use the currency calculator on your home screen and choose the country, or start creating a payment and select the payer's country — NexPay then shows only the methods that work there. That's always more accurate than a general list, because options can change as we add capabilities.

### Why are these particular countries supported?

NexPay is built around the routes its team knows deeply — with a strong focus on Latin America, where the team uses local methods like PIX, SPEI, and Webpay every day — alongside major study-destination and source countries. The list grows as more routes are added.

### Do all supported countries have the same payment methods?

No. Each country has its own local methods — PIX and Boleto in Brazil, SPEI and OXXO in Mexico, PSE in Colombia, Webpay in Chile, Open Banking in Australia, and so on — plus cards where available. The methods reflect how people actually pay in each place.

### Will more countries be added?

Yes. The list of supported countries expands over time. If a country you need isn't available yet, it's worth checking back or asking the support team whether it's on the way.
