Germany is one of the most affordable study destinations in the world, with many public universities charging no tuition fees — or only a small semester contribution — even for international students. While public universities in Germany may charge as little as EUR 500 per semester, private universities and English-taught programmes can cost EUR 10,000 to EUR 20,000 per year. Students also need to prove financial means of approximately EUR 11,208 per year for their visa application.
