NexPay was built on over a decade of hands-on experience in international education. We've seen what happens when a parent in São Paulo sends tuition to Sydney and gets nothing but a reference number. No name, no update, no peace of mind. We started NexPay because we knew it could be better.

We built our team where our students are — São Paulo, Bogotá, Santiago, Mexico City — and where their schools are, in Sydney, London, and Vancouver. Latin America is where we go deepest: a parent in Chile needs someone who understands Webpay, speaks their Spanish, and picks up the phone in their timezone. We serve students from Europe, Asia, and North America too — because trust shouldn''t depend on a postcode. Technology makes us fast. Our people make us trusted.

AI should make the human experience better, not replace it. We'd rather have a slower process with a person you can call than a faster one where nobody picks up.

## Security and accountability.

We handle tuition payments — often the largest transaction a family makes in a year. We treat that responsibility seriously. NexPay holds the regulatory authorisations to provide payment services in Australia ourselves, and our infrastructure meets the standards expected of a financial-services platform.

- **AFSL** _(Held)_: NexPay holds an Australian Financial Services Licence issued by ASIC, authorised to provide non-cash payment services to retail and wholesale clients in Australia. The AFSL carries retail-client obligations: clear disclosure (FSG and PDS), AFCA dispute-resolution membership, and compensation arrangements.
- **AUSTRAC** _(Registered)_: NexPay is registered with AUSTRAC as a remittance provider under the AML/CTF Act. Identity verification, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting are handled in-house — we are the regulated entity, not a reseller of someone else's registration.
- **SOC 2** _(In progress)_: We're working towards SOC 2 readiness and progressively strengthening controls around security, availability, and confidentiality of customer data.
- **PCI DSS** _(Via processors)_: Card data is handled exclusively by PCI DSS-compliant payment processors. NexPay does not store full card details on its own servers.
- **Encryption** _(Active)_: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). API communications are authenticated and monitored for anomalies.
- **Access controls** _(Active)_: Role-based access with multi-factor authentication. Team members only access the data they need for their role. All access is logged and audited.
- **Monitoring** _(Active)_: Real-time monitoring for suspicious activity across all systems. Automated alerts escalate to our security team within minutes, not hours.

### We hold the licence. We run the platform.

NexPay holds an Australian Financial Services Licence authorised for non-cash payment services to retail and wholesale clients, and is registered with AUSTRAC as a remittance service provider. The AFSL is held by NexPay, the AUSTRAC registration is held by NexPay, and the platform you interact with is built and operated by NexPay. We operate the platform, verify payment details, and work with regulated banking and payment partners to complete each transfer. One licensed company, one team you can call — not a chain of providers.

## Privacy as a right. We see your data. Here's what we do with it.

Our team reads your payment details — that's how they catch a wrong bank account before you send $30,000 to the wrong place. But seeing your data comes with rules. Here's exactly what we do and don't do.

These aren't aspirations. They're how we operate today.

- **ACCESS** — **Your assigned team member sees your payment details:** That's how they verify the school, check the amount, and call you if something looks off. It's the whole point.
- **ACCESS** — **Compliance reviews your records when required:** NexPay is registered with AUSTRAC as a remittance service provider. Our compliance team audits transactions to meet anti-money laundering and financial regulations.
- **BLOCKED** — **Sale to third parties — never:** Your data is not a product. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or trade it with anyone outside your payment.
- **BLOCKED** — **Training public AI models — never:** We use AI to process your payments faster. Customer payment data is not used to train public AI models, and the AI tools we use are configured with access and confidentiality controls designed to protect your information.
- **REQUIRED** — **KYC/AML records retained per regulation:** Australian law requires us to keep identity and transaction records. We won't pretend we can delete everything on demand — but we'll tell you exactly what we hold and why.
- **ENCRYPTED** — **All data encrypted in transit and at rest:** TLS 1.2+ for every connection, AES-256 at rest. Data moves between our offices in Sydney, London, Vancouver, and Latin America under the same encryption standards.
